aptitude is no longer in the default install so yes you need to install
it: sudo apt-get install aptitude or use the GUI of your choice.

That sounds cool, but doesn't work for me - not even pasting it into a
browser or nautilus.
I have apturl installed, is there some other package I need (if so,
please don't paste a link to it! :P )

I hadnt been able to use aptitude since installing 12.10......now I've
installed it and it works......when I clicked on the url it opened a
Launch Application box......dont know if that is supposed to happen.....
