Regarding the Compiz crash, I've been on 13.04 for a couple of weeks
and I do get Compiz crashes occasionally, usually when using Nautilus
but when that happens, Compiz just restarts and everything is back to
normal.

I tried typing unity --replace into the terminal and it shows a list of
loaded plugins then seg faults. Basicly the crash happens 100% of the
time on 100% of reboots and also effects gnome shell. I'm having to use
fallback mode with no effects. I'm sure normal service will be resumed
shortly.
