An Ubuntu 11.04 machine I setup for a friend has a problem that none of the other machines I have installed and setup have.
The analogue microphone comes through the speakers. Therefor we are getting feedback even with no program running. I have looked around at "Sound Settings" but don't see anyway to fix this issue. Of course muting the microphone works or turning down the speaker volume but that is a non-solution. I have since this issue with alsa and new how to fix it but not with pulse. Anyone else had this issue and solved it? Advise, gladly received. Thanks in advance for your attention. Cheers, Bob
