I verified the bug fix by opening links to articles or sites that were obviously not Google+ content. The container did open the links with the default browser, as intended.
I will keep the verification-needed tag for now, to let testers outside of our development group verify this fix. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu WebApps bug tracking, which is subscribed to unity-webapps-googleplus in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1308784 Title: External links broken in Google+ Status in Unity integration for GooglePlus: Fix Committed Status in “unity-webapps-googleplus” package in Ubuntu: Fix Committed Status in “unity-webapps-googleplus” source package in Trusty: Fix Committed Bug description: [Impact] Opening external links in Google+ is not working as expected. The link redirection is stopped in the middle of it in the default browser. A user is then unable to visit pages which do not belong to the webapp domain. This is a regression compared to the browser container that was used for webapps in previous releases. [Test Case] - open the google+ webapp (on touch or desktop) - find a post with a link to the external content - click on the external links Expected result: - the target webpage should appear Actual result: - the link is unresponsive [Regression Potential] None To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity-webapps-googleplus/+bug/1308784/+subscriptions -- Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-webapps-bugs Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-webapps-bugs More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
