I have been having similar problems on Jaunty 9.04 AMD64 with both a Logitech Mouseman Wireless (long discontinued) which supported both PS2 and USB. I was using USB exclusively. I tossed this mouse and replaced it with a brand new Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse 2000 (USB) and am still having random mouse freezes which require a reboot. There appears to be little rythm or reason to the crashes and I have not be able to gather any data. Everything else including the keyboard continues to work.
