Thanks for the replay, I already upgraded to 11.10. One thing i know for sure is that it is not a hardware issue. Because the first time it worked. After a reboot i had again the old issue. A few days ago i had also one boot that worked like it should be i am unable to reproduce the working situation.
I sadly have no experience in debugging this kind of issues. But i have basic unix knowhow (shell mainly). I have to feeling that something is crashing (gui wise) at startup because it takes 5 - 10 seconds longer to get the login screen as it does when i do not have the external screens connected.
