Same problem here with standard Ubuntu: Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Pro, Chipset CN700/P4M800 Pro/P4M800 CE/VN800 Graphics [S3 UniChrome Pro]
A workaround is to tell X to use the VESA driver. This will get you working graphics, but low performance: Put the following into /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/use-vesa.conf: -------- Section "Device" Identifier "Configured Video Device" Driver "vesa" EndSection --------- -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu-X, which is subscribed to xorg in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1205643 Title: VIA P4M800 graphics broken in Lubuntu/Xubuntu Saucy To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1205643/+subscriptions _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat Post to : ubuntu-x-swat@lists.launchpad.net Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
