Oops I think I entered it in wrong at the end of the text. At first I didn't leave a space between the end of the last word and the start of i915.powersave=0 and I tried it with a space between the last word and the code I put in and it booted up fine. Now I'm waiting a few minutes to see if it still blinks and will report the results ASAP thanks :)
