Hi Jurgen, Just to clarify, I have gdal-bin 1.9.0-1 and this does not seem to be a problem, the problem is with python-gdal 1.9.0-1 only. So I understand that I'm doing the right thing by forcing python-gdal to be 1.8.0.2 in order to keep qgis 1.7.3-2 working.
