Hi!
I'm experiencing problems with gdal 1.9, should I downgrade everything to 1.8?
I note that gdal 1.9 is available for ubuntu 10.04 only, perhaps I
should have not upgraded it?

Asunto: ERROR 1: gdal_translate was compiled against GDAL 1.9 but
current library version is 1.8

As I mentioned, in order to avoid start-up errors with qgis I have
downgraded python-gdal to 1.8,
but then when I try to use the raster (gdal) utilities (from within
qgis 1.7.4) I get:
gdal_translate: /usr/local/lib/libgdal.so.1: no version information
available (required by gdal_translate)
ERROR 1: gdal_translate was compiled against GDAL 1.9 but current
library version is 1.8

How can I clear this out?

Using ubuntu 10.04

Thanks
Agus
