Tom posted a new comment: Probably there is a config file somewhere but at least you have this work-around until you find it or someone else pops in with the answer. Also there seem to be a few troubles with alsa and sound generally right now so i would guess that in an update or 2's time a lot of this will start behaving as normal again.
