vijay is still having a problem:
yes.
when i type sudo fdisk-l in terminal it shows as
.dev/sda 320.0 G.B
/dev/sda1---------------------------------------------------linux
/dev/sda2---------------------------------------------------linux
/dev/sda3---------------------------------------------------linux
/dev/sda4--------------------------------------------------W95 Ext'd (LBA)
/dev/sda5-------------------------------------------------linux swab/solaris
/dev/sda6------------------------------------------------W95 FAT32 (LBA)
/dev/sda7-------------------------------------------------linux
/dev/sda8-------------------------------------------------linux
another thing
places menu shows the following
computer,cd/dvd creator,1.1GB media,42.9GB media,107.4GBmedia,107.4GBmedia
,network ,connect to server.,search for files, recent documents,home
,desktop,camera,documents videos,musics,pictures thats all.
