vijay is still having a problem:
yes i did what u said above and save the file.
when i reboot the machine it as follows
openSUSE on sda3
Ubuntu 8.04.3 LTS, kernel 2.6.24-24-generic
Ubuntu 8.04.3 LTS, kernel 2.6.24-24-generic 9recovery mode)
Ubuntu 8.04.3 LTS, memtest86+
but Ubuntu 8.04.3 LTS, kernel 2.6.24-24-generic is highlighted to go into
directly .
then what we do .
