Question #77022 on Ubuntu changed: https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+question/77022
Tom proposed the following answer: If your /home folder is on it's own partition then you are less likely to have catostrophic failure anyway as the /home contains almost all the personalised settings so re-installing the OS or even installing a completely different version of linux is less likely to have a negative impact on your system. However stable you make your system backing up is always a good plan of course. If you don't already have your /home on a separate partition it might be worth thinking about doing that sometime later, but perhaps not for a while becuase there's nothing wrong with your system either way so don't change it lol Good luck and regards from Tom :) Ps i'm glad to hear you've reached perfection ;) -- You received this question notification because you are a member of UF Unanswered Posts Team, which is an answer contact for Ubuntu. _______________________________________________ Mailing list: https://launchpad.net/~ubuntuforums-unanswered Post to : [email protected] Unsubscribe : https://launchpad.net/~ubuntuforums-unanswered More help : https://help.launchpad.net/ListHelp
