Still no mouse pointer and I couldn't even get a terminal to launch using the typical keyboard shortcuts so it was tricky :^) I added "> debug.white.txt" to the second command so I could access it from a lateral install. Let me know if you get this OK. If not I'll open a bug at launchpad or paste it into a forum post. Lance PS: Those packages seem mostly OK in Ubuntu GNOME except I think boot is slower (I get a black screen for maybe 15 to 20 seconds just before the desktop appears) and I'll try and get to testing Unity sometime later today. ________________________________ From: Tim <t...@feathertop.org> To: Erick Brunzell <lbsol...@yahoo.com>; "ubuntugnome-qa@lists.launchpad.net" <ubuntugnome-qa@lists.launchpad.net> Sent: Wednesday, February 19, 2014 11:56 PM Subject: Re: [Ubuntugnome-qa] Fwd: [Call for testing] gnome-desktop 3.10 On 20/02/14 15:32, Erick Brunzell wrote: > Sorry for the long delay but real life knocked on the door :^( > > I can say that the nautilus and eog changes seem OK, beyond that I'm really > in over my head - that is I'm just not tech savvy enough to > understand all of what you said. > > And the Ubuntu repos have been very, very active in the past couple of days > which is good but also results in inaccurate results. All those packages need to rebuild against gnome-desktop update or things wont install. the main changes however are limited to: gnome-desktop gnome-settings-daemon gnome-control-center and specifically stuff affecting display configuration and idle monitor > > Lance
