Or better yet, you should use a VPN instead. It's more secure. The only problem is it can be really hard to get running... ;-) Either way, you should check into a service like DynDns<https://www.dyndns.com>, which would let you connect to the computer using a name, like mypc.homedns.org, instead of an IP address. This would be really useful since your public IP can change often (Some routers and DSL modems have a built in DynDns updater service, so you may not even need the software provided on their website).
