Hi Jon,
I am sorry if you think I am being snotty with you.

I am trying to help you to get your game to work.

Remember it is your game i have no interest in it myself.

None of us are paid for this, we are just happy to help.

At the same time you need to carefully read our replies to you
and answer the questions we ask you.

Look further down in this post and you will see what you have
written and my comments. look back at my earlier post and see
that i tried to help you. You said you are new to ubuntu and
I have no idea what you already know. i can only look at your
answers to my questions and try to help from there.
Also I do not know if you are new to just ubuntu or
linux itself.

In one of my previous posts I said this:

Suppose your

program is called Fireman
then there will probably be a directory of that name. Do:
cd Fireman
ls
( Choose the directory your executable is in )
when you do ls it will probably show a number of files. One will be
the executable
maybe called Fireman.exe ( or something obvious for your app.)
then do:
wine ./Fireman.exe
It is obvious now that you do not understand this bit.
see below
cd Fireman
ls
What it means is you type the bits after
and up to but not including
it is a way of separating the ordinary text from the parts you should
type in

the hole thing... and also please don't be so snoty when anwering
me.
when you metion Fireman.exe do you mean i have to download it or
do i

    already have it.

No you do not have Fireman.exe and it is not something you need.
I do not know what your game is called - you did not say.
It is just an example of what sort of thing you are looking for
You need to work that out.
If you are unable to do so then we need to ask you to do more posting
so we can tell you exactly what you need to type in.
