My wifi adapter is working fine, however every minute or two (I havn't timed it) on a regular basis I get a lag spike which causes packet loss in Everquest 2 lasting for a duration of about 3 seconds. For normal everyday use this is not a problem, however as a gamer, 3 seconds is a long long time.
On windows this exact same behaviour was seen on this card and was corrected by using the application WLANOptimizer(1), which essentially disabled vista's automatic search for networks on a regular interval. My question is, can I duplicate this behaviour somehow in Linux?
