if you are using dual boot option now, with winxp and ubuntu,
option (1) You can delete the windows system folders through ubuntu
(like windows folder, program files folder etc.)
option (2) if you select to format the windowsxp partition (if in C:
drive), the MBR will also get deleted so either windows or ubuntu will
not be started. Thus if you erase the windows xp in C: drive, you will
have to recover the GRUB to use ubuntu again.
