unfortunately, a new problem came up :(
t accepted the sudo/root thing. bt after t verified that, this came
up:

" ERROR: You appear to be running an X server; please exit X
before
installing. For further details, please see the section
INSTALLING
THE NVIDIA DRIVER in the README available on the Linux
driver
         download page at www.nvidia.com."

what on earth s that talking about?? :) (im NOT aware of running any
servers on my pc :P :D)
