I have picked up Kriegbot.  It looks like a fiddly game from the 1980s
that comes in a plastic bag with cheap plastic minis, weird dice, lots
of rules and exceptions and player mats.  Also, cards you cut out
yourself.  Very much a project game, sort of Car Wars-ish.  I'll let
you know when I play it.  Joey (9) immediately latched onto the
graphics and also chided me for not learning Netrunner yet and playing
it with him.
