Hey all... The word is given (sorry watched ST2: Wrath of Khan a couple days ago),
My company has given permission for the use of our building on February 5th so get it on your schedule. It will run from 11:00 am to 10:00pm. The technical address for the building is 59 West 900 North in Springville however that is really the address for the road that LEADS to this building. It is actually located directly behind the O'reilly Auto Parts store on the north end of town. If you turn West on 900 North (there is a Far West Bank on that corner) you will notice a road that will turn left that will cut behind the branch, the Karate building and the O'reilly store. It will dead end at a building that has the same brickwork as the Far West Bank branch. There are no signs or indicators as to what the building is. I will have a sign on the front door letting you know you arrived at the correct place. This is not a full blown convention but simply something I am setting up so that those of us that don't want to have to travel up to SLC for the full convention can still have something close with no cost involved. When I say no cost I mean no money out of pocket. The COST for attending is that you bring a bunch of games from your library that will be available for others to use during the course of the day. I am also planning a Crokinole tournament to weave throughout the day just so that we can have some fun with it. Feel free to bring your spouses or significant others but I request that no children are brought. My company has been kind enough to allow the use of the building and I don't want to risk injuries or other liabilities that might incur once the element of children becomes involved. I would say the age limit would be 13+. There will be a fridge available upstairs in case any of you want to bring along your own lunch or soft drinks (no alcohol please!). We are within walking distance of a Subway and a Sonic Drive-in and there are plenty of other places within easy driving distance. Mark Crane has requested ways of filling out a game request so that some games could be scheduled. I will see if this is something feasible. I don't really want to have to spend a bunch of my time organizing something elaborate. This is simply a day set aside for us all to just get together and play board games. More details will follow. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "utah county boardgamers association" group.
