They've been talking about adding a git server to morris and converting the 
repositories.  (I still prefer mercurial, but that's a very minor quibble.  
You can convert losslessly between git and hg anyway.)

However, with the recent server migration (from an ancient debian image 
administered by nobody to a fresh gentoo image administered by OSUOSL people) 
plus moving the mailing lists to the OSUOSL servers, they're letting things 
settle down a bit before making any more changes.  (Remember the mailing list 
archive bug a couple days ago; still working out the kinks.)

You don't need a kernel.org account to use git.  (That would be the 
"distributed" part of "distributed source control system".)
