Sorry about the delay, I tested it this morning on SH2A and it works OK.

I think Bernhard is right in that SH2E should use this as well, but its
not currently a uClibc config option and I don't think we have any SH2E
hardware here to test on. 

I suppose adding the gcc builtin for SH2E would at least mean that
someone building for SH2E would end up with some working system calls
even if some other bits are broken.
