i'm just packing to drive into toronto for a geek conference, so i'll
email you (thomas) the patchset as it is now, and you can do with it
what you wish, since i won't have much time for the next day or so to
do anything with it.

to summarize what i have so far, the patches i have are based on
combining the best of the 20070130 nios2-specific patches, then
updating that with the mega 2.6.23 uclinux "big" patch and keeping
only what appears to be the NIOS2 stuff, and finally tweaking anything
to have it patch cleanly against the latest kernel tree git pull.
as of this morning, the patch is still perfectly clean against kernel
git.

also, as i mentioned yesterday, trying to build *just* a kernel (not
all of uclinux) with what i have dies at the asm/scatterlist.h
incompatibility, but you mentioned that you already know how to deal
with that so i'll leave it with you to play with that until i get
back.
