Hello,

perhaps you have to patch the makefile. I meen the small-written one.
The makefile configures the configure-skript. I also had problems with compiling
openSSL for netsnmp.

Thanks! That actually made the trick.

I removed the line in "makefile" that sets 'no-md4' (it was inside an if-statement for some reason). Odd setup with a bunch of makefiles, some generated, some with small letters...

Betreff: [uClinux-dev] OpenSSL problems with snapgear 3.5.0

Hello,

I've been trying to get openssl to work with snapgear (3.5.0).

I've tried openssl 0.9.8e and 0.9.8g without success, I've used the patches supplied in a previous mail here (from David McCullough and Doug Kehn resp.).

0.9.8g worked fine, but MD4 wasn't enabled (which I need). I tried to edit the generated makefiles (since ./Configure didn't work, "no rule to make target 'links'", and probably shouldn't be used anyway I've heard), but the linker reported MD4_Init /MD4_Update/MD4_Final missing.

Then I tried 0.9.8e. It refused to compile because of a series of "undefined reference to `BIO_set_callback'" in the openSSL apps directory (e.g. enc.c, s_server.c). In 0.9.8e I had to do a "./Configure linux-elf" since it refused to compile otherwise ("Makefile older than Makefile.org").

Does anyone have any ideas how to get openssl to work?
