Mauro,

I have the CD and I could send to you by mail if this wouldn´t break any
copyright. I bought this kit some years ago and I don´t know from whom. In the
kit there are several documents and cource code that may be protected.

The RS232 cable is a simple cross cable to direct connect devices. The uClinux
is 2.4. I suppose You can download the version from uClinux site.

If you can boot the board and get the boot output in the RS 232 interface the
rest is very simple. Try it!

Regards

Marcio

  Hi Marcio,

I am using the smdk2500 because I found it in an old-stuff-closet and I am
trying to rescue it :)
Probably this is the source of my problems... ;)
So I dont have the CD nor the cables that probably came if the kit.

Do you know were can I found the CD with uClinux?

I had tried rs232 and usb, but nothing... now I will try the ethernet TFTP.

  Thanks a lot,
  Mauro

    Hi

The smdk2500 development board has a CD with uClinux and all the tools.

You can use the JTAG but the board has a boot that allows you to download
code from ethernet TFTP.

The processor is already EOL. So, you should look to another
borad/processor.

      Hi all,

I found a Samsung smdk2500 devel board and I'm trying to install uClinux
on it.

Does anyone know if uClinux is compativel with it? If so, what
vendor/product should I use?
I saw no Samsung vendor and no ARM product (except for GDB/ARMulator)
when trying "make xconfig".
I know the smdk2500 board has a Samsung ARM S3C2500B01 uC.

Another question: does anyone know how do I send a program to the board?
I need to do this through JTAG or can I use serial port? Do I need a
special (or commercial)
software or can I use an opensource one?

      Sorry for my basic questions.
As you all can see I am new with embedded linux.

      Thanks in advance,
      Mauro
