I just did a git pull, too. I could do "make menuconfig" and found
that all my settings were still in place. But the 2.6.28 Kernel did
not compile due to some problem with the the framebuffer source.
Oh, you did an update of several versions ! So I suppose you need to
clear all settting:
"make menuconfig" -> default all settings)
Not try a make
If that works try to configure the project according to your needs again.
