LiveCD users believe the base system is untouched and no user information is collected from the system(if the system is online). For people completely new to the system, if the information is migrated transparently, it might be a cause for discomfort. On the other hand, if the user is prompted, he knows what it is doing and also that he is in control. Just a thought.
