Each of the lives of these female students is on the line for a mere six
dollars.
That is less than the price of a packet of cigarettes here.
That a baffoon mascarading as Head-Teacher gets these powers
of life and death is a sorry comment on the backwardness of our society.
When I called this state of affairs "the law of the jungle", Hon J. Nkuuhe
got very defensive and very annoyed with me.
He claimed that Uganda is a country with rule of law, not a jungle!!
As I have mentioned on this forum before, here when there is some strike
or disturbance it is taken as failure by the principal to run the
institution.
And the Principal is expected to resign forthwith.
In our land, you have heard of the Nnabingo Headmistress dismissing
the whole of Senior Four, and many other outrageous things.
I have seen too many of these so-called Head-Teachers steal or embezzle
or waste school funds.
Many of us were victims of the same high handedness. We should call the
bluff of these fellows. Stringent Laws should be enacted. The knee-jack
reaction
of the Hon. Nkuuhes of this world has to end.
All are focussed on mu7, mu7, mu7. There are tons and tons of issues to
address.
You could replace mu7 tomorrow and still have the same pain to still afflict
our land.
Write to Nkuuhe and all your MP's demanding stringent laws about this
issue.
