The Kabaka has assured Baganda on the issue of federalism and said that what had taken time will soon have a breakthrough. The Kabaka was speaking to the people of Bugerere at the headquarters of Kangulumira sub-county where there had been a consultative discussion as he concluded his two-day tour of the area. He said that in all the nine sub-counties that he had visited, the people have been demanding federal and accordingly re-assured them that what had taken time looks like unfolding soon. The Kabaka in his tour that commenced on wednesday, opened a hospital at Ggaliraaya and graced the occassion by planting a tree followed by an endorsement of a Polio immunisation campaign in which he immunised children at Kayonza sub-county. On thursday, the Kabaka toured the sub-county of Busaana where he urged parents to thrive hard to educate their children and to put more emphasis on the discipline of children which he talked of as having deteriorated. He donated a good number of books to the pupils of Nabugaanyi school and which will be handed to them next week. The Kabaka went on to tour the sub-county of Nazigo and laid a foundation stone at St. Kalemba school where he was handed a total of eleven scholarships including five for higher education plus five from Nazigo demonstration school for senior one to four. At Bugadu, the Kabaka was given three scholarships. In his tour, the Kabaka also visited the home of the woman representative of Kayunga, Victoria Kakoko Sabagereka where he formally launched a fish breeding pool and also hosted his subjects to luncheon. From there, the Kabaka headed for Kangulumira where he toured the palace of Kalagala and also planted a memorial tree besides laying a foundation stone at Kangulumira Integrated school. During his tour, people bought the Buganda Development Certificates in big numbers. Yesterday, the Kabaka had been expected to tour Kayunga and to open officially open the Lukiiko of Mugerere and was supposed also to pray at Namagabi Mosque. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kabaka agumizza Abaganda ku Federo |
