Ugandan and DR Congo leaders talk
The president of the Democratic Republic of Congo, Joseph Kabila, and his Ugandan counterpart, Yoweri Museveni, are holding talks in the Tanzanian capital, Dar es Salaam.

They were invited by the Tanzanian President, Benjamin Mkapa, to continue their discussions on ending the conflict in Congo.

The meeting comes a day after peace talks in South Africa between the Congolese government and rebels were adjourned until next month.

Uganda, which has backed rebel groups fighting the Congolese government, has now pulled out from almost all the areas it controlled in eastern Congo.
