No but I must take you on this one. You are using a critical thinking which is not the thinking of Ugandans. Ugandans just do not care until when the problem is in their own back yard. Let me give you some examples of Ugandans thinking. When Museveni allows Buganda to have a Lame kingdom, the entire Buganda praises  him. Among the entire population of my grand parents, there is no single one who wonders who gave museveni the power to return Kingdoms, and if he has that power, does he have one to denounce it? if so when will he denounce it? Another one, if Museveni is a man who loves cultural institutions why isn't the Obugaabe right from his home running today? Is he more interested in Buganda culture than his own? No that thinking does not take place in Uganda, we just praise him for he has returned the Kingdom and we need more of Ebyaffe.
Let us go on another reasoning, few days ago there is a minister who publicly stated that Museveni must return for another term, for it is during his term that I have made money. Matek surely this is an adult, an educated man and a minister. Who has seen and who knows everything going on in Uganda, he probably knows as well how Uganda would look like in 2002, but no all that is not important for he is making money, Museveni should continue.

There is another one. If you listened very careful to the addresses museveni gave while in Nairobi, he stated very clearly that I do not want to be a president, all I want is to get the Government which cheated in elections out of power. To today he has never put DP in power. But the most important thing here is that Ugandans believed him irrespective of the so many lies he had told them. In fact in that very same saga, Kiiza Besigye stated that for me I am a Doctor I am only here to set my country to a success and I am going back into medicine. Ugandans bought that as well. And today they are following him toe to toe for now he is telling the truth.

Museveni stated that he is going to ask Ugandans if they want federalism he will give it to them. Some of our fellows ran almost naked to pump papers in Uganda explaining the Federalism they want, for they expected Museveni for the first time to deliver.

Few days ago Museveni stated that he is going to finish Konny as soon as the grass goes low, Ugandans believed that too.

What I am trying to put to you here, is that Museveni has not ruled Uganda this long for he is smart. He has ruled Uganda for he knows that a great number of them are suckers. And he plans basing on that understanding. He kills hundreds in Western Uganda and he blames the cult, Ugandans agree with him.

So when Kazini states that he will resign, it is not in real resigning, he is stating like that so that Matovu and company can have a field day and after that it will cool down. Do not take it serious NRM knows that Ugandans are not that developed, that is why you see that many of our Embassies are working thanks to the Rwandees, that is why you see that people are dying of jiggers just 50 miles from the capital, that is why you see that our properties are being sold, and all Ugandans are saying is Ffe kasita Twebaka.

Matek stop critical thinking as well and start to sleep.

Subject: [Ugandacom] Kazini should resign!!!!

Kazini has two weeks.  The man committed himself openely to the whole nation
and members of the International Community that if  Kony  and the so called
Kony rebels are not finished by Dec 31, 2002, He ( Kazini) will resign...and
we awaite Kazini's resignation...and he should do so prompto.  This is
exactly what the so called members of Yoweri Museveni's Parliament( who are
worth any salt ) should demand of  Kazini.. and not providing us with some
mambo jumbo  remarks.

The minister of state for International Affairs, Maj. Tom Butime, has said
the December 31 deadline given by Maj. Gen. James Kazini to flash out rebel
leader Joseph Kony was unrealistic.

Butime, who is also MP for Mwenge North, was on Friday meeting the Toro
parliamentary group in Kamwenge.

He said Kazini was out of order to set such a deadlines and go public.

"He is not allowed to say such a thing because he is not the
commander-in-chief. It is only the President who can say such a thing," he
said.

Butime said President Yoweri Museveni and the UPDF were working hard to end
the insurgency in the northern region but to say that there would be no rebel
left by December 31, was unrealistic.

"It is true Kony will be much weakened. The President himself is committed to
ending the war and that is why he is camped in Gulu," Butime said

The MPs present were Captain Charles Byaruhanga (Kibaale), Dora Byamukama
(Mwenge south), Captain Basaliza (Burahya) and the Toro parliamentary group
chairman, Adolf Mwesige (Bunyangabu).
