Obalanga sub-county chief, Mr Peter Eyabu, has pleaded with the army to flush rebels out of the area.
"My sub-county is totally in a mess. The rebels are marauding at will," he said.
Eyabu said the LRA rebels have camped at Osukunya, about 4kms from the UPDF detach at Obalanga IDP Camp. He said other rebels are at Aeket and Alito.
They shot dead one UPDF soldier near Obalalanga Internally Displaced People's camp on July 8.
Eyabu said the rebels force people, they abduct, to carry their loot whenever they launch an attack.
Meanwhile, unconfirmed reports say that the UPDF killed two rebels who tried to attack Obalanga IDP Camp.
Moving in a group of about seven, the rebels were ambushed and killed by the UPDF.
Eyabu said the rebels have never left Obalanga and Kapelebyong sub-counties ever since they invaded the area on June 15.
