MP Angry Over Land

Mr Ken Lukyamuzi yesterday claimed that there is a plot to make the Baganda landless.
The MP for Lubaga South said that President Yoweri Museveni is part of the plot because he won't assent to the Land Amendments Act.
Lukyamuzi was addressing a news conference at Parliament.
Mr Museveni has rejected an amendment that authorises district land boards to determine the ground rent.
Museveni wants all squatters to pay the same rate countrywide.
Lukyamuzi on the other hand wants location and size to determine the rates.
Lukyamuzi also said that former President Idi Amin should be allowed to return home.
"We all make mistakes. We are not angels. He was a great Ugandan. He freed Ugandans from economic bondage. Only God should judge us," Lukyamuzi said.
"We now live under economic bondage. Museveni is selling parastatals as if he is selling pan cakes," the MP charged.
