In death, justice has caught up with former president, Mr Idi Amin Dada, a government official said yesterday.
The Special Presidential Adviser on the Media, Mr. John Nagenda, said: "Amin has finally paid for his sins.
"This is a man who goes down in the books of history as one who wasted countless lives of Ugandans," Nagenda said.
"It is regrettable of course, death is death but we would have wished to catch up with him to answer few questions," said Dr Nsaba Buturo, the Minister of
State for Information.
Dr. Buturo said government was by yesterday yet to decide what form of help to provide to the Amin family.
"We are waiting for his family to make contact with us and we see how we can help... probably facilitating the bringing back of his body," he said.
President Yoweri Museveni has always said that Amin would face trial if he came back to Uganda alive.
However, he said in the past that Amin's body could be returned for burial, if the family so wished.
