It is my belief that only the people the hell will be able
to free themselves. Not American , Not BRITAIN , NOT M7 AND NOT any of those MPs
shouting for breadcrums. I have come to realise that some of our owns sons
abroad are working negatively against all efforts being put by geniue people to
bring peace to our people. They are in the money chase! Most of our MPs are
manipulating people to maintain their status quo! MPs are making the situation
worst. At this critical time i would not expect our MPS to be shouting like
monkeys on a tree IF they are geniue, what did they work out of parliament for a
few weeks ago? They said they were going to be with their people and now they
are shouting miles a way.
The fact is there are trumatise families who have
lost their relatives or friend in the horrific butcher imaginable. And such
people can spiral our of control, i would expect our MPs to be trying to
understand their feeling, tying to work with them directly to achieve some form
of Understanding of where their problems are coming from, try geting to all the
elements/ actors of this problems and togther forge a way of solving it with the
wider community. But our MPs prefer to use to shout so that they are known to be
the one talking and in the process even create bigger problems.
Till all our MPS come together and speak in one voice
today tomorrow and always our people are doomed. This is a big problem no one
person or MP can solve it a lone so why are they all pretending and deceiving
us.the earlier they drop the MPsand take charge of their own destiny they will
always remain in camps, keep having one funeral after another, keep blaming one
another etc until they all perish.
It is crucial our MPs stop being part of the problem and
begin to be part of the solution. That means operating differently from they way
they have so far been doing, means working together with the people etc etc..
And not personal merit. I hear some say without M7 they would not be in
parliement! especialy the women.

This is a serious matter. Many of us decried this
business of training local militia to respond to a national insurgency. Part
of the objective of the NRM has already been achieved...drive the wage between
nationalities. How easy is it going to be to heal the deepening
wounds?
The sad thing is that, even people like Omara
Atubo, who should know better, have taken the easier route to serious policy
making informed by reflection, vision and critcal analysis by way of escapist
cheap political populism.
Where have all the national leaders
gone?
I would like to urge that the UPC Secretariat
should come out with a strongly worded statement on the national situation. We
cannot sit idly while the country is fallIing apart. This should not simply be
the usual weekly press briefings. There should be a strongly worded press
release on the national situation should serve as a warning to all ethnic
nationalists that there shall be no impunity for the deaths of innocent
citizens.

This is stupid talk! How can you engage the
so called "rebels " while armed with Machetes, spears and axes? The
mighty UPDF which is armed with Helicopter gunships, tanks,
machine guns have not succeeded in defeating the "rebels"
after 17 years of war. Instead civilians have suffered the wrath of
the UPDF.
How on earth does Omara Atubo
think the Langi can perform any better?
The only solution to this
"Kony" nightmare is a peacefully negotiated settlement. Even Yoweri
Museveni's friends in the West agree on this.

OTUKE MP Daniel
Omara Atubo has said the Langi have resolved to fight the Lord's
Resistance Army (LRA) rebels and repulse them from the
sub-region.
"LRA declared war on Langi...and we the Langi are also
declaring war on them and we shall win. Since we have unanimously agreed,
armed with guns, spears, axes and pangas, the rebels will be driven off,"
he said.
Atubo was addressing Lango students at Kyambogo
university
recently.
