Lisa   You have put a finger on it, for regrettably the war in Uganda left being a problem to being a source of income, and the moment it crossed that line Museveni keeps  on laughing. And that is why it is very unrealistic for any one to think that NRM wants peace in the North, what NRM wants is to make sure as many people are dead, either through UPDF attacks labelled Konny attacks or by pilling them into these trained fighters and decimate them that way. And the sooner people realise that the sooner we can move on. For this thinking you have brought up we should have brought it ten years ago, for really Museveni has not started any thing new today, this has been his exact operation from day one, but Ugandans refused to accept it and when ever you tell any body that the war is a government creation you were going up a wall. Why can't this war end? Is Konny stronger than Uganda government? How does he survive? Who gives him intelligence? A force like NRM in Luwero had a problem getting food and they were attacking cassava plantations in Luwero at night, who feeds Konny for 20 years? Then look on all serious people posted in the North they end up dead or transferred. And by the way how many bodies come back to West and South Uganda of dead soldiers in this war? Why is it that in all Konny attacks on the population he attacks people only near a UPDF location yet he does not attack UPDF? Those and many other questions we must ask our selves, for we have a big gap between the population and Uganda government, a government which has proved over and over that it does not give a wit on what happens in Northern Uganda. And such people can spiral our of control, i would expect our MPs to be trying to understand their feeling, tying to work with them directly to achieve some form of Understanding of where their problems are coming from, try geting to all the elements/ actors of this problems and togther forge a way of solving it with the wider community. But our MPs prefer to use to shout so that they are known to be the one talking and in the process even create bigger problems.   Till all our MPS come together and speak in one voice today tomorrow and always our people are doomed. This is a big problem no one person or MP can solve it a lone so why are they all pretending and deceiving us.the earlier they drop the MPsand take charge of their own destiny they will always remain in camps, keep having one funeral after another, keep blaming one another etc until they all perish.   It is crucial our MPs stop being part of the problem and begin to be part of the solution. That means operating differently from they way they have so far been doing, means working together with the people etc etc.. And not personal merit.
