Netters:

I do not know about you, as for me I think dictator Yoweri Museveni should feel ashamed in his persistent effort to try to deceive us as to who did what in the fight to liberate the Republic from Idi Amin's reign of terror. 

Dr. A. Milton Obote wrote a long article full of facts and details naming places and dates (which I believe is going to be in three part; at least according to the MONITOR NEWS PAPER) about the role which the UPC played in the liberation of Uganda and was posted on this net.

Museveni never even attempted to rebut what Obote wrote...simply because he knows that it is the truth. Instead  continues to come up with hearsays and stories in a move to try and  decieve us and confuse us.

Ever since 1971, when the dictatorship in Uganda took a turn for the worse, many cadres from the Ankole region took a leading role in fighting for democracy.

In 1979, we had a limited victory because, our getting rid of Idi Amin notwithstanding, the political question in Uganda was not resolved.


Which political force was to be the leading force and why? In what direction was that force to lead Uganda? How were we to build the state and political organs to shepherd that process? All these questions were not answered in 1979.

That led to the collapse of the process in
