The Gulu-based northern army spokesman, Lt. Paddy Ankunda (pictured), said the army recovered among other military items, two military pips of LRA Lieutenant colonels suspected to have been killed during the battle, but their bodies were not found. "You know it is a tendency of the LRA to always try very much to carry away their dead, especially the ones of their army officers," he said.
"So, we highly suspect that those two LRA Lieutenant colonels could have been killed and the LRA fighters managed to carry away their bodies," he said.
