Museveni has been persecuting Muslims for quite some time now. He has ordered for assaults on mosques and people have died. The man is a killer! I'm not suprised at all.
I don't know about the Western govts helping us, they support Israel and thank it for forcing Palestinians off their lands. They have not done a thing about the Palestinian situation, do you really think that they will help us in Uganda?? They never lifted a fingure during the Rwandese massacre, only to get involved when millions had already perished!
The massacres in the North have been going on for 18yrs, and they have not lifted a fingure to help stop the govt from killing civilians. I think that the Western World is giving Ugandans and Africa a false sense help or a possibility of helping them. I think the West is keeping us this way in order to hold a firm grip on us. These people are NOT going to help! They are colonizing us using psychological tricks of donor aid, relief aid, and promises of helping.
The British Parliament is infamous for these tricks. They have recently declared Northern Uganda, a disaster area. What I'm waiting for is to see them FORCE their Mu7 to declare the area, a disaster area. And force him to allow international forces to protect the people. As long as these Brits can not do that, I'm not taking them seriously as people who are going to help end these massacres. But rather as people who are playing this psychological card with people's emotions and hopes to an end of these massacres. That is very inhuman to do to people!
Matek: If the people in North are alarmed that the international community will not help them, What will they do?? 18yrs, do you think the messiahs will come?? I think we as Ugandans, we need to bring Uganda to a climax. Something needs to happen in order for a change to take place. We need to change our strategies. The international community is NOT going to help us. It is fooling us.

How l long must all this paranoia on the part of the NRM military dictatorship go? ..and now the regime is bent on arresting fellow citizens for allegely recuiting rebels for the ADF. Even shieks and Immams of the Muslim faith are not spared from Yoweri Museveni's NRM actions. One is under the impression that the so called ADF " rebels" were wiped out by the NRA/M..and that ADF no longer possess a threat to the dictatorship in Uganda. Apparently, not so.
Meanwhile in Northern Uganda, the Military dictatorship continues with it's killing spree of innocent acholi/Langi fellow citizens. The regime kills even small kids ..as young as 2 , 3 or4 years old. The forces of the dictator ship (through it's mouth piece the New Vision) after killing children, often claims that it has killed "LRA" rebels. The irony is that Western states (USA Britain Germany e.t.c) have been completely duped so much so that they actually believe that Museveni is killing "rebels".and as such nothing is done to discipline their Nyampara (foreman) Yoweri Museveni.
One thing is certain though; the patience with which Ugandans can tolerate Yoweri Museveni's/NRM excess is now wearing very thin. We, the people of Uganda, can no longer afford the situation whereby Yoweri Museveni's NRM military dictatorship continues to and is allowed to kill our people (for almost 20 years) and all we can do is sit!
We wish to point out that Western states (who have supported Museveni for this 20 years) that they will partly share the blame should the situation in Uganda spiral out of Control. Let it be noted that tempers are building up all throughout Uganda this very moment (even as I write). WE do not want to hear the UN opening it's ugly mouth... if and when the people take justice into their hands. Enough is enough ...we are tired!

Three charged with treason

KAMPALA – Three men, including a soldier attached to the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence, were yesterday charged with treason and misprison of treason.Buganda Road Grade One Magistrate Emmanuel Baguma remanded the three – Ismail Juuko, Twaha Kakande and Abdu Mwebe Lukwebe – to Luzira.The charges were read out to the accused persons but they were not allowed to enter any plea because their offence is of a capital nature only triable by the High Court.
The three were jointly charged with Fred Musubako Zake, Rashid Khamis Tulimukabi, Musa Abubakari, and Hajara Nabagereka.The susp ects were arrested on Monday together with the former Mufti of Uganda, Sheik Obed Kamulegeya, for alleged subversion.They were accused of recruiting rebels, mobilising logistical support and intelligence information for the rebel Allied Democratic Forces.
They allegedly recruited persons into ADF ranks and sent them to the DR Congo for training.They were also accused of failing to report to the relevant authority the plot to overthrow the government of Uganda.
Prosecution alleges that all the accused persons committed the offence between July 2003 and March 2004 in different parts of Uganda including Busia, Iganga, Kampala, Bugiri and Kasese.
