Quota system should be applied for the sake of fairness
SIR � I request the government to help students from upcountry schools and apply the quota system when selecting students to public universities this year.
This is because the system will promote fairness to all districts.
Most students who passed on merit are from central Uganda, which has good schools and too expensive for upcountry students.
So the rich afford the tuition in those schools, pass highly and are the same ones who qualify for government sponsorship at the expense of poor students!
