The same source said that the victims include two women and eight children; the injured, numbering a dozen, are all in the hospital in Kitgum. However, it is feared that there may be other wounded survivors among the people who tried to flee into the bush. The missionary added that the smoke from the 160 burning huts ?torched by the rebels during the attack - reached the town of Namokora. The armed forces have delegated the defence of the built-up areas in this zone to a kind of civilian militia group made up mainly of minors, who are unable to avert the rebel attacks. [LC]
