UGANDA 7/6/2004 16:48 KAMPALA DEPLOYS TROOPS ALONG CONGOLESE BORDER General, Brief The Ugandan armed forces deployed ulterior troops in the western district of Kasese, along the border with the Democratic Republic of Congo. The news was referred by Radio Uganda, citing the Ugandan âAllutaâ military magazine, which specifies that two small Ugandan rebel groups with their training camps over the border with north-eastern Congo â ADF (Allied Democratic Forces) and PRA (Peopleâs Resistance Army) â in the past weeks intensified operations along the border zone. âThe armed forces intend to prevent any possible threat to Ugandan securityâ, stated to 'Alluta' Lieutenant Colonel Kabalangira, commander of the 509 brigade.
