Mr. Ojambo

I have read your article thoroughly well- I could believe what I read coming from you!!

Now you wrote this ; Let us face it Bwanika; Ugandans do not have a culture of paying
taxes. They expect good services for nothing.

GOOD HEAVENS!! Now you have even forgotten what you studied for years? But BIDCO has
been given or borrowed millions of Ugandans money, where does that money come from?

1. As far as I know, you have enough information just about every single state
institution and the people involved plus the ideology behind it. (driving force behind
their actions)

2. I therefore cant imagine that you over-saw the states will to mobilise
men to attack Congo, the Amuka, Arrow groups or NRM fighting its out-laws in Kasese
the so called ADF but in the same spirit, fail to mobilise people to kill off Kony or
clean streets I hope now you know what NRM priorities are.

3. In Uganda of today, and maybe in our lifetime there might be no positive
change but rather our nation will slide into a worse situation positively than that
you see in urban America- the ghettos.

4. Cleaning streets might be one index, to an organised society besides i.e.
some MPs offering an economic index of car ownership, and people riding on bodabodas
indeed ghettoised America is doing exactly that!

5. Now, I cant understand why should the common men and women work for nothing
while those who do nothing get hips of money they do not work for- PEOPLE SHOULD WORK
FOR A PAY AS LONG IS THE STATUS QUO ABOVE.

6. the people who build a nation (roads, buildings, grow food, battle and win
wars, work in forests etc) are workers not civil servants who do infinitesimally
nothing!

7. Mr. Ojambo who is westernised ? In Uganda, old people die blind in the eyes,
simply because they have dont have UG shs. 50,000 to do an eye operation, lame kids
defecate on themselves since their parents are too poor to seek betters means and
ways, children from war zone are sleeping on Mbale , Jinja and Kampala streets since
they are refugees in their own country- Sudan refugees sleep in US 300 million $
houses rented in and around posh sub-urban Kampala it is a grotesque and despicable
scenery.

8. Which town in Uganda has no women destitute eking a living on the dirty
streets seling dodo or tomatoes so they pay taxes for what for trading on streets?

9. UPE never started with NRM- in fact the colonialist in their civilisation
stance - Education was mandatory and up to well into 1989 those structures were still
in existence! Amin never destroyed them.

10. I started school there was ink, a book and a pen on the desk and
well-stocked laboratories.

11. It is an discourtesy of you to say Ugandans are lazy- people who do not depend
on the state to meet all their worldly needs and want it is an insult indeed. Who
financed the destruction of Jinja, kampala, Luweero , Gulue is it not tax money?

12. Should imagine then that the destruction of the state is exactly why the
people should pay taxes????

13. What Bukenya is doing has been done by so many others to me there is nothing
knew in it- you actually understand the economics of agriculture better than I do let
us say all people in wakiso start producing rice!

14. The party I started will outlive me and it is there but I am not going to take
orders from anybody about what I started.
