Members of LRA rebels cooking human beings in pots are even more disturbing, but the recent worst was the hacking of 18 women in Pagak and their babies leaving them speechless stuck on their mothers' backs. It's a ping-pong that seems not to end but which can never prevail forever. The solution lies nowhere else but in protecting the people in the IDP camps and continue to search for their killers in the jungles.

This is the ulti mate job of the UPDF. Since the Bar Lonyo massacre, gallant soldiers of Filth Division have intensified pressure on criminal Odiambo who led the attack. After looting tones of food which he was about to deliver to chief terrorist Kony in Sudan, he got a beating of his life in Kit Valley - North of Magwi where he lost 54 fighters and dropped all the loot. He will never forget May 18, 2004. This is why the defence Minister is genuinely demanding an increase to cater for the various security challenges at hand.
Even before an increment is made, the UPDF will continue to operate the way we have always done. It is our resolve to protect the IDP camps as one of the approaches to end this conflict remains unshaken, and we shall not accept to be derailed by detractors.
