The State Minister for Health, Capt Mike Mukula, has said the civil defense forces,
commonly known as Amuka boys, intend to "fold" LRA's terror campaign from Kitgum and
Pader districts as they did in Teso region.

He said the government had mobilised all efforts and was working round the clock to
stamp out the Lord's Resistance Army terror which has ravaged the North and
Northeastern regions for the last 18 years.

"With the kind of resolve which enabled us roll Kony from Teso like a carpet, we shall
flush him out of Pader and other districts," Mukula vowed. A group of militia-men were
recently passed out there and are now augmenting UPDF combat against LRA.

Mukula, who was launching Win a Car Promotion by Trans Sahara International at Nakawa
recently, called on the business community to support the government in its commitment
to fight the insurgency. "No nation in the world can manage good business without
security. And with insecurity we wont even sustain our robust growth," he said. He
added that Kony had almost threatened to advance to Bugiri after capturing Teso, but
the stiff determination of the region's leadership and civilian population managed to
push him back.

The promotion, which will be crowned with a grand ruffle draw, will see a lucky winner
walk away with a Cardina ST190 car worth Shs15 million on August 14.

drivers who drive the cars from Mombasa and customers who buy from the car depot. The
grand draw will be preceded by mini draws where people will win fridges, TVs, and
T-shirts.

The Managing Director of Trans Sahara Mr. Yusuf Manafa said the company was rewarding
those who facilitated the growth of the company through sales, transportation and
other services.
