OVER 2,000 residents of Bata sub-county, Dokolo county in Lira district have asked President Yoweri Museveni to stand for the presidency in the 2006 election.
�We are expressing our support and asking Mr. Museveni to stand for the presidency, whether he likes it or not. We still need his services to restore peace and development,� Odongo Odwee, the LC3 chairman, said on Thursday.
�The Movement government deserves credit for upgrading roads. About sh150m has been released for road construction,� he said.
�This is a great achievement for us, so Museveni deserves support,� Odongo said.Published on: Monday, 15th November, 2004
