PARLIAMENT Speaker Edward Ssekandi and his deputy Rebecca Kadaga did not receive the controversial sh5m given to MPs, NRM-O officials said yesterday, reports Anne Mugisa.
"We are not clearing Ssekandi or Kadaga. We are clearing our organisation because we never gave money to them," NRM-O publicist Ofwono Opondo told journalists.
AbanaUganda , wasn't speaker Ssekandi's name on The Monitor list of those who recieved NRM's Money? Now what is Opondo talking about? Must we now believe Opondo who is a cone artist like his GURU Museveni? The fact is Opondo can clear Ssekandi and Kadaga's names all he wants... the fact remains.. Ssekandi and KADAGA ATE the Money...full stop...end of story...as such they have compromised their Intergrity! and a sense of fairness in National politics!

He said not all MPs who support NRM got the money. He said it was given to MPs who were sent to propagate Movement ideas and explain the white paper and other matters.
Can Opondo now came up with his own list of those NRM MPs';s who did not eat the EKISANGA money?I do not think he is capable of coming up with such list!
Ofwono warned the opposition against what he called peddling lies and mudslinging the NRM-O. He accused opposition politicians of using the media to distort and undermine the organisation.
Owangee..Now why is this Opondo man blaming the media? when it comes to peddling lies, who is well versed in this activity? I say the NRM ..and the likes of Opondo!
He said the NRM-O would not reveal its source of funds or beneficiaries.
He said the organisation would account to the Registrar General at the end of the financial year.
That is BULL CRAP!! pure and simple... YOU ate the money ! you need to account to the people of Uganda not to some Registrar NRM Sycophant!!!
"When the financial year of the NRM-O ends, you can contact the Registrar General to seek that information not only on the sh5m but other monies" he said.
Ofwono said they will not ask other political organisations how they raise their money. He said they were aware that political groups were raising money.
Ofwono lashed out at the opposition, saying they had no moral or legal authority to criticise the NRM.
He said Byanyima was to fly to Addis Ababa in December but would still draw a salary from parliament.

Ofwono attacked former Prime Minister Eriya Kategaya, saying he got sh6m from the NRM Secretariat and gave it to Winnie Byanyima for her campaigns in 1994.
He asked Augustine Ruzindana (Forum for Democratic Change) to show how many jobs he advertised as Inspector general of Government, yet he was employing people.
