An increase in harassment by the government agents is pushing the Forum for Democratic Change's (FDC) patience to the edge. They have warned they could resort to other options.

Addressing the press at the weekly briefing yesterday at their Kamyokya headquarters, FDC co-chairman, Mr Sam Njuba, warned the government against pushing them to the wall.

"Just because we have chosen to bring about change using peaceful means does not mean we are cowards or have no other options," Njuba said.

The warning comes in the wake of a blockade by the Mayor of Kiira Town Council, Mr Mamerito Mugerwa, of a consultative meeting on Sunday. He said FDC had not given up on Kireeka and that they would traverse the entire place.

"I am very disappointed by Museveni and his agents. There must be an end to this harassment. We are running out of patience," Njuba said as he banged his hand on the table.

He said they were capable of taking on dictators through other means, saying Museveni must be completely unmasked for the dictator he is so that Ugandans are left in no doubt that all means must be employed to liberate Uganda from his fangs.

He cited boycott or civil strike before the use of guns as the other means.

"He can rule and say he is the sabagabe (King of kings) but he will die one day," Njuba said.
